"I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve (or save) the world and a desire to enjoy (or savor) the world. This makes it hard to plan the day."
– E.B. White, Author of the children's classic Charlotte's Web
Imbolc marks the promise of a new cycle as the light begins to return and the promise of spring is in the air. Traditionally, this is the time to give thanks for the fertility of life and the fertility of our dreams. You can expect some great tunes, simple, clear guidance and a deep Movement Medicine journey.
We are giving thanks every day that we wake up that the heart still beats, that gravity is still working and that we’ve got another chance to dance with whatever life brings us today.
We are grateful that our work has given us the means to be present and to access the resources that allow us to embrace both our love for the world and our ‘desire to enjoy or savour it.’ And as the wheel of the year turns, grounding ourselves in embodied prayer that includes our own needs, those of the people we love and care for, and our love for life itself matters more and more.
Our online ceremonies are a blend of fantastic music that holds us, gives the heart space and invites us to rock out and let go - and clear and simple guided structure that gives us the focus and the sense of being connected to this worldwide community.
This Tribal Heart Imbolc Ceremony will be a space to dance deep, following our own tempo, to let the life that lives us be expressed through us, to create and to empty out enough that we can hear the whispers of guidance that become available when we give our selves back into the arms of the beat. And as we do so,we will let our physical bodies reconnect to the earth and the changing season and in so doing, take some time, just as our ancestors did, to welcome back the light.
And on top of that, we are delighted to welcome special guest Nessi Gomes, whose profound and soul deep music we have been playing in our ceremonies for years.
Come and take your place in the circle and let’s deepen our connection to what inspires us, what holds us, what gives us the power to be who we are and play our part in a manner that dignifies who we are in the unfolding of our times.
CONNECTION | For those who wish, you can have the interactive experience through the zoom link. There will also be an integration session with break-out groups afterwards. For those who wish to be more private, tune into the stream, link top to some good speakers and let's do this and lift up an embodied prayer that echoes through the roots, trunk and branches of the Tree of Life.
NESSI GOMES | Born on the tiny island of Guernsey (Channel Islands, UK), singing and music became Nessi’s way of dealing with challenging life circumstances. From a young age, she discovered for herself the ability to transform discomforts and unspoken emotions by exploring sound and has continued to root herself more deeply in the therapeutic benefits of vocal expression. More about Nessi.
