In these pandemic times, we are offering a mixture of online events, some for free and some as a sliding scale, as a way to stay connected to the pulse of life, to the power of the dance and the resilience of being in community.
If you can’t make the live events there is an archive (see below) where all recordings are stored so that you can participate in your own time. *All sliding scale events will be free to Study Hub members.
Unfortunately, our video service provider (Vimeo) was experiencing techncial difficulties during the live streaming of this event. As a consquence, the event happended over Zoom only, however the live feed was sadly not recorded. 🙁 Thankyou for your understanding and we look forward to sharing the dance with you again soon!
Watch Ya'Acov's recap of the event on Facebook. In response to the event being not being recorded, Ya'Acov wanted to make sure there was something available for those of you who missed the live session.
At this time when so many of us are fed up with being online, of the continuing unknowns and challenges brought about by the pandemic, political upheavals and climate crisis, it may seem like a strange time to be thinking about gratitude. How is gratitude going to help us to face these with a strong heart, feet on the ground and kindness in our hearts. Well, a little dancing certainly helps - ~Movement Medicine was made for these times. We need to use our bodies or they may well become overwhelmed by the amount of fear and anxiety in the world.
Alongside that, focusing our minds on what we can be grateful for is a certain state change. Not ‘sugar on shit’ but genuine gratitude.
In this FREE session, Ya’Acov will explain what the 21 Gratitudes practice is, where it came from and how it relates to the Movement Medicine Mandala. This will be followed by a guided embodied meditation with the drum and Q & A’s.
Participation in these webinars is fully at the risk and choice of participants. It is each person's responsibility to look after their physical, emotional and mental well being. Listen to your own body. If something hurts, pay attention and take care of yourself. All participants are asked to move at their own pace and to take care of themselves on all levels. Ya’Acov, Susannah, all people connected to 21 Gratitudes and to the School of Movement Medicine can take no responsibility for injury you sustain as a result of participating in these webinars.
