We recognise that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to online participation. In order to provide you with the most immersive and interactive experience possible, we’ve combined the following technologies and features. You can choose how you use them to engage with the journey!

First Steps

  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before the live event starts.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Check your audio connection and volume.
  • Ensure your surroundings are clear and you are centered in your body.
  • Review the 21 Gratitudes disclaimer.

The Live Stream

This is the main video and audio stream.


The website stream is higher quality, however it does require a good internet connection. As such, if you have a weak connection you might find that the facebook stream works better for you.

A Note on Facebook: We have recently experienced some instabilities with the Facebook stream cutting out. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. We are actively working on a solution!


For optimal sound quality, we recommend using speakers or wireless headphones.

Connection & Stability

Because live streaming requires lots of bandwidth, from time to time, the connection may become unstable. If you experience the video stuttering or jumping, try to refresh the web page. This resets the connections and normally helps. If issues persist, try:

  • Switching to the Facebook stream. (It's lower quality and may load faster)
  • Disconnecting from the Zoom call. (If you have it open)
  • Turning other devices that are connected to the same internet connection as you to airplane mode.
  • A different web browser such as firefox or chrome.

If none of the above are helpful, its likely that your internet connection is simply too weak / unstable for the live stream. Fortunately we record all of our events, so if you find yourself in this situation, you can always watch the event after its finished. We do our best to post the recordings within an hour of the event finishing.

The Zoom Call

We use Zoom to bring everyone together visually. Within the zoom call you can share your webcam and see others participating in the dance on the video mosaic. It's up to you to decide if this is something that you would like to engage with.


We do not use the zoom call for audio because the quality is very poor, especially when playing music. Therefore, there will be no sound coming through the Zoom call.

The Discussion Areas


There are three places you can communicate with the community during live events:

1. On the website

Below the video stream you will find the vimeo chat. Sign in as a "guest" to get direct access.

  • The chat is directly on the web page.
  • Is active before and during the event.
  • Only works during the event and is not available afterwards.

2. Zoom Chat

Zoom has a live chat window.

  • Allows you to communicate with the other dancers in the video wall.
  • Has private messaging.
  • Only works during the event and is not available afterward.
  • Requires Zoom.
