Movement Medicine dancers share their stories
Interviewed by Jessica Huie
For the last three decades, Ya’Acov and Susannah have been developing their work, offering it in a wide variety of situations with a wide variety of people. In 2007, Movement Medicine was born. Since then, Movement Medicine has supported people around the world to connect with themselves, their dance, their dreams and their contribution in this world. Across the board, dancers discover empowerment, responsibility, creativity and healing they didn’t know was within them. The practice uncovers the resources we all have within us to discover resilience, accept our imperfections and that, nevertheless, we have gifts to bring life. Dancers remember what really matters to them, how to embody their dreams and how, over time, to bring them into the world as part of inter-connected community.
But don’t take our word for it. As part of our preparation for bringing our work to you the online we’ve asked Jessica Huie mbe, (author of Purpose) to interview some of those people live. We want you to get a sense, directly from them, of what this work is and why it might be of benefit to you.
